Hi there💕

I am Khanyisile better known as Canyee. I serve as Singer,Songwriter and Poet.

I would describe myself as outgoing and determined as well as assertive. I am an absolute pleasure to be around as I am a ball of energy.

I have a versatile music taste that ranges from Reggae; Deep house; Amapiano; Old school Hip Hop; Neo- soul and Stimela. My childhood memories can mostly be attached to artists like Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, DMX and OutKast.

I’ve always been passionate about creating art and communicating my feelings through words.

I started writing songs when I was 12 years old. Most of my work is inspired by love and heartbreak which can be blamed on the endless list of 90’s and 2000’s chick flicks that I’ve seen.

It’d be unjust for me not to include social issues as well so I have quite number of pieces inspired by tragic events that happen around the world.

Some of my personal achievements in pursuit of a professional career in music as a singer and songwriter includes having served as a wedding singer. Taking part in singing competitions and talent shows to showcase my skills and learn more. As well as writing a tribute song to Pro kid. And lastly, performing at a Pitika Ntuli studio opening where I was honored by Dr Don Materra.

I hope to share my music with the world as I believe I have a unique voice and am passionate about instilling self confidence in other young people while helping them find their unique voice and embracing.
