Ziphozakhe Florentina Macuba

Born Ziphozakhe Macuba, Lark Wantu, ‘The Songbird of The People’ is a singer, songwriter, composer & stage performer born and raised in a small town, Uitenhage, Eastern Cape. Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, her love for artistic and creative freedom was nurtured from a tender age, professionally expressing herself into a stellar music career.

In 2016, Lark, was selected to be a delegate by Independent Music Exporters South Africa (IMEXSA), to attend music conferences in Europe, namely Spain & France particularly Primavera Pro & Midem deferentially.

This imaginative artist has since gone on to perform at the following National and International music festivals:

Ø  Music In Africa (Bassline Festival) 2021

Ø  A Letter To Azania – Thandiswa Mazwai (2022)

Lark, has appeared on BET Africa, Selimathunzi, SABC 3 & Barcelona News.

Her song writing capabilities together with her skills were utilized by South African television production house, Black Brain, in the struggle movie, Loving Thokoza, which has subsequently been televised on DSTV Showmax,1Magic as well as Mzansi Magic.

Lark Wantu, is also a character model and is signed to Kingclip Casting Agency in Johannesburg, South Africa.
