A young trumpeter who grew up in the township of Sharpeville, started playing trumpet at the age of 9 by the influence of Bongani Majola who lived a few houses away from my home who was one of the jazz cats of Sharpeville. I developed more skills and knowledge playing at a church band throughout the years. I grew up wanting to be a classical musician but the idea changed when I started doing a Jazz course at Central Johannesburg College.
